Program objective

Organization of seminars and workshops  focusing on special science topics.

The International Academy Traunkirchen’s facilities may be made available for science events organized by universities, science institutes and similar institutions.

Target group

For science seminars and group events organized by science institutes, including events with art contributions, the Academy’s facilities and infrastructure are made available free of charge. In particular, we invite institutes based in Upper Austria to apply. The Academy supports a wide range of thematic areas.

Services and facilities provided by the International Academy Traunkirchen

Two seminar rooms, one seating 15 and one seating 20 persons, are available at the International Academy Traunkirchen. Both rooms are equipped with video projectors and blackboards. In addition, two offices equipped with computers, wireless LAN and printer are available.

Additional lecture halls seating up to 200 persons may be rented within the same building on request.

The Academy’s rooms and facilities are made available free of charge. The additional lecture halls are subject to a fee.

The International Academy Traunkirchen does not provide accommodation. We will be pleased to advise you on accommodation possibilities in Traunkirchen hotels and B&Bs.  Adequate accommodation possibilities are available in the close vicinity. Timely booking is advisable.

Application and Information

Applications are accepted at any time of the year. Registration as early as possible is advised.

Events to be hosted are selected by a science committee.

To give the committee a thorough impression of your event, please include the following information in your application:

  • Topic and brief description of the event
  • Contact person, contact details and official address
  • Approximate number of participants
  • Possible time frame / possible dates
